Riel:Trial and Execution
My project is a short film. I focused on the trial and execution of Louis Riel.
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
The most interesting thing I have learned about my topic was that Louis Riel was a religious man and intended to be a priest.
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
I think the most important lesson that I have learned while researching Louis Riel and The North-West Rebellion is that not everything in Canadian history is so black and white.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
I don't think I could compare my life today with my project. So much has changed politically in Canada that I don't think that anything to do with Louis Riel and The North-West Rebellion would happen today.
